Doom 3 BFG Edition launch trailer released
Bethesda welcomes back an old friend.

Established in February 2011, Games Catalyst endeavours to bring its unique brand of fact and satire to the videogaming community and, in tandem with 'The Independent', hopefully turn a few non-believers on to gaming while we’re at it.

Doom 3 BFG Edition features re-mastered versions of both Doom 3 and the Resurrection of Evil add-on pack, as well eight new levels of content entitled ‘The Lost Mission.’ This edition will also include the original Doom and Doom 2 games, making it the definitive collection of the genre-defining games developed by id Software, the pioneers of the first-person shooter genre.
Visuals have been optimized in 3D, 5.1 surround sound has been added and Xbox 360 Achievements and PlayStation 3 trophies are now supported, with a more user-friendly check point system thrown in for good measure.
Doom 3 BFG Edition is slated for release throughout Europe on 19th October for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
