Let’s raise a celebratory glass of something sparkling on behalf of Anders Howard, a man who has put paid to the erroneous idea that games developers never get the girl.

He came up with the sweetly geeky idea of creating a video game in order to propose to his girlfriend Steffany. After persuading friends and colleagues to lend him their skills, Howard put together a food-based mini game which featured Steffany. He then invited her to test the game – with a crowd of onlookers – and when she unlocked the “diamond ring achievement” he got down on one knee to propose.
