Games Review: Cake Mania: In the Mix!
Wii, Majesco, £19.99
Friday 31 July 2009
Some games work on both the DS and the Wii while others fail to make the leap from one Nintendo format to the other. This is the case in Cake Mania: In the Mix!, a bakery management title that played well enough on theDS but sinks like the centre of a bad sponge cake on the Wii. It worked before because the controls on the DS were well thought out and reasonably accurate; plus, this is the kind of game that works well played alone. Throw in impossibly random controls, plus an audience, and it fails to leave a nice taste in the mouth.
