Games Review: FaceBreaker
PS3, Xbox 360, EA, £39.99
With its comedy, cartoon style graphics, this arcade boxing bonanza looks as though it ought to be a barrel of laughs.
There’s a lot of fun to be had from creating your own Rocky or Ricky thanks to the custom character-builder and you can even put your own mug on your fighter by uploading a photo. Alas, beefy boxers aside, FaceBreaker is definitely no knock-out. Uninspired AI, limited modes and controls that never make you feel as if you’re actually in a boxing match make this a missed opportunity.
