Games review: Hydro Thunder Hurricane
£10.20 (1,200 MS Points)
Format Xbox 360 Live Arcade
Publisher Microsoft
This is the second game in as many weeks to be released as part of Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade promotion, and it better befits the collection than last week’s seminal, but cerebral Limbo. Realistic handling is essential for this speedboat racer, and happily, HTH not only delivers on handling but also adds impressive water physics, pulsating visuals and breakneck speeds. Powering through the title’s imaginatively designed courses is certainly entertaining, the only downside being that there are only eight of them. Luckily, multiplayer options add longevity while the price is right.
