Whiskey-swilling hitwoman Rubi Malone is the acrobatic star of Bethesda’s third-person shooter Wet.With a title like that and a curvaceous female assassin on the cover, it might sound exploitative, but Wet steers clear of tired old sexism in favour of kickass combat and a slick, cinematic style. It’s far from perfect – the patchy platforming is caused by frustratingly off-kilter controls, but each level’s arena sees Malone defeating serried ranks of enemies beautifully and brutally, not least when she goes into no-holdsbarred “rage” mode.
