Increasingly, karaoke games give me pause for thought. On the one hand, I still love the cheap, tuneless thrills offered by the endless SingStar titles and this, the latest of Microsoft’s Lips series. But by now, the average gamer with a desire to sing has probably had a good go on every track they need to, making these games feel a little anachronistic. Yes, there are plenty of dancefloor classics and Top 10 hits from back in the day here, but this gaming genre, and the decade this title in particular celebrates, feel like they’re over.
