£34.99 – £44.99

Format PC, Xbox 360

Publisher Square Enix

Improving on almost every aspect of the original, Supreme Commander 2 bucks the trend that states real-time strategy games don’t work on consoles. Streamlined controls make unit selection a breeze, camera control is tight, and zooming out to a satellite’s perspective and back proves slick thanks to the game’s smooth engine. Huge-scale battles on multiple fronts are SC2’s forte and maintaining the frontlines while juggling resources, construction and research is pleasingly frantic. However, with 18 campaign missions and comprehensive online multiplayer options, there’s plenty to keep strategy fans occupied.
