Capcom have announced a collaboration with Mamoru Oshii, the award winning director behind Ghost in the Shell and Avalon. The renowned director has created a short live-action film entitled Steel Battalion Heavy Armor: Gosha to tie in with the release of Xbox 360 Kinect title Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor.

Gosha focuses on Polish Vertical Tank pilot Gosha who, like Sgt. Powers from the game, commands her own VT squad. Gosha’s story focuses not only on her part in the war between global factions, but also the tension between those under her command.

The full film will be released online before Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor ships on 22 June, for now check out the behind-the-scenes teaser trailer to whet your appetite.
