High-tech product releases announced the week ending December 29 include a next generation mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, the world's thinnest 3D Blu-ray player, a compact camera with a big zoom, a notebook with the world's thinnest bezel and a video camera made for the snow.

A mirrorless interchangeable lens camera gets i-Function features
The Samsung NX11 is an updated version of the company's existing NX10 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. The most notable new features include a one-touch i-Function button, support for Samsung's i-Function lenses and an adjusted grip. Otherwise, the NX11 is similar to its NX10 sibling, with a built-in VGA (640 x 480p) viewfinder, a 3-inch AMOLED LCD display, 720p video capture at 30 frames a second, and a 14.6 MP APS-C sensor. The NX11 will come bundled with a 18-55mm zoom lens and is expected to become available in February 2011 for $649.

The world's thinnest 3D Blu-ray player
Samsung is getting ready to debut the world's thinnest 3D Blu-ray player at the International Consumer Electronics Show. The 23mm thin Blu-ray player offers 2D to 3D conversion in a sleek looking silver design. No information about pricing or a release date was available.

A rugged video camera made for the snow
Camera maker Kodak has partnered with snowboarding brand Burton to release a special edition Kodak Playsport video camera. The rugged, durable, pocket-sized HD video camera is waterproof up to 10 feet and offers electronic image stabilization, a LCD Glare Shield feature, full 1080p HD video recording and 5 MP stills. The camera comes bundled with a custom made Camera Holster and a remote control. The Kodak Playsport video camera Burton Edition will be available for $199.95 in January 2011.

A slim camera with a 24X zoom
Samsung balances up-to-date technology with usability in its newly announced WB700 camera. The point and shoot camera has a 24X zoom function (made up of a 18X optical and 1.3X Smart Zoom), a 16MP image sensor, a 3-inch LCD display and HDMI output. The camera can also be used to capture high quality video footage (1080p) and comes with a "zoom noise reduction" feature. The WB700 will be available in April 2011 for $299.99.

A compact notebook with the world's thinnest bezel
LG claims its Xnote P210 series notebook computer sports the world's thinnest bezel (the border around the screen) on a laptop. The compact laptop has a 12.5 inch display and comes with a dual-core i5-470UM processor (for speeds between 1.33GHz and 1.86GHz), a 320GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM and runs on Microsoft's Windows 7 Home Premium OS. The Xnote P210 is priced from 1,290,000 won (€860) and will be available in Korea in February 2011.
