Lady Gaga tweets new 'You and I' video clips, Kevin Tsai and Xie Na reach 9 million followers

Taiwanese TV host Kevin Tsai and Chinese TV host Xie Na have surpassed the 9 million followers milestone on Chinese microblogging site Sina Weibo and are edging closer to their American counterparts on Twitter.

Pop singer and fashion icon Lady Gaga continues her reign at the top of Twitter’s most followed microblogggers with more than 13.2 million followers.

During the week Lady Gaga announced she would be tweeting links to five additional "You and I" music video clips. On September 2 Lady Gaga tweeted the first in the series, called “You and I:NYMPH.”

The fashion films have been directed by New York-based Dutch fashion photography duo Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin ( @inezandvinoodh).

American singer Katy Perry is asking her followers to send her pictures of "what your world looks like right now," and Britney Spears has tweeted that she "Had so much fun doing this shoot for @GlamourMagUK! Can't wait to see all my UK fans next month" along with a link to the Britney Spears Glamour Magazine UK cover.

On Sina Weibo, Chinese actress and singer Zhao Wei overtook South Korean actor Jung Kyung Ho, boasting 8.8 million fans to his 8.7 million.

In September 2010, Twitter had 175 million registered users, while Sina reports that Weibo had more than 200 million registered users in August 2011.
