Apple is offering free deliveries on the tablet, with estimated delivery on Friday.

Some of the accessories have longer waiting times. If the Apple Pencil stylus is ordered today, users can expect it to arrive between 19 November and 26 November, according to the site.

Apple offers the big tablet in three different colours: silver, gold and its darker space grey, each of which costs the same. It also comes in three different options: a 32GB Wi-Fi version, for £679; a 128GB Wi-Fi version, for £799; and a 128GB version that has a cellular connection for £899.

Apple then offers a range of extras on top. That includes £79 for AppleCare+, which adds on extra warranty coverage, and new accessories the Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil, which together cost about £220.

Phone networks are also expected to sell the iPad Pro. EE and Vodafone have told The Independent that they will be selling the cellular version of the tablet online and in stores, though neither has yet put up prices on their websites.

Apple boss Tim Cook said in an interview with The Independent that the company considered the iPad Pro a potential laptop replacement. The tablet was launched alongside new iPhones and an Apple TV at an event in September, and Apple said earlier this week that it was about to go on sale.
