iPhone 6 pictures: ‘Leaked photos’ show smartphone boxed and ready for sale
The photos were handed to Techradar ‘by a beta-tester’ and could be most revealing leak yet
In the latest in a long run of Apple leaks, new photos have emerged that purport to show the un-boxing of a brand new iPhone 6.
The images, which cannot be independently verified, are certainly more convincing than some leaks we’ve seen in recent weeks.
There's not too long to go now until the anticipated iPhone 6 launch date of 9 September, and it is thought the device could then hit the shelves by 19 September.
These latest images show the phone and its packaging, apparently as it will come when it is ready for retail. The appearance of both phone and box are not far removed from what we’ve seen with previous iPhones – but with the expected larger 4.7” or 5.5” screen.
The images were provided to the technology news website Techradar, which quoted a source saying that they come from “an Apple beta tester”.
It shows the phone has again become quite radically thinner, while other features align closely to those (possibly) revealed in more minor leaks.
A leaked image purporting to show the new iPhone 6 (Source: Techradar) Techradar said the pictures come from a new source and that, as with all leaks, there will always be doubts as to how genuine they are. One close-up shows a range of apps on the “iPhone 6” home screen and, in particular, it seems a little odd that there is no mention of the much-vaunted new Health package.
