Apple is about to begin one of its most important ever events, launching the iPhone that could prove the clue to its fortunes.

The event will be happening in front of the media and analysts at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. But you can tune in yourself, using Apple’s live stream and our live blog.

We’re expecting Tim Cook and his colleagues to take the stage to announce a relatively limited set of products, when compared with past announcements. There’ll be an iPhone 7, for sure, and probably an Apple Watch; everything else is a surprise.

When will it start?

10am local time. That means 1pm in New York, 6pm in London and 1am the next morning in Beijing. But more simply you can look at this countdown:

How can I watch it happen live?

Apple will be live streaming the event on its special page. You’ll need certain software to get onto that – either an iOS device, a Mac with the Safari browser, an Apple TV or a Windows 10 PC with Microsoft Edge. If you're not sure whether you've got the right stuff, you can head to the stream and it'll check for you.

How can I follow along with a live blog?
