The European model goes on sale two days earlier, March 25, gaining Ghost Recon: Splinter Cell 3D, but missing out on Steel Diver, Combat of Dinosaurs, Madden NFL and Bust-A-Move Universe.
Japanese purchasers have their February 26 choice limited to ten titles, but one of them is the next Professor Layton game, Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle.
The Nintendo 3DS succeeds the best-selling 3D, adding a 3D-effect screen (no special 3D glasses required) along with a Circle Pad, three cameras, motion-tracking technology, and wi-fi connectivity.
The device is priced at $250 in North America and ¥25,000 in Japan, while in Europe retailers are setting their own prices - around €250/£220 or less.
Sony has its own handheld project, the tentatively named NGP, targeting release by the end of 2011.
