Obama reaches 10 million Twitter fans as America marks the tenth anniversary of 9/11

Barack Obama’s Twitter account surpassed 10 million followers this week as Americans remembered those who lost their lives in the September 11th attacks.

The Twitterati shared messages of hope and paid tribute to those who lost their lives on the tenth anniversary of the attacks.

Justin Bieber shared a YouTube video of Beyonce’s "I Was Here" and tweeted "RIP to those lost. 9-11," Katy Perry used her 140 characters to tweet "Sick in bed and watching the memorials today. Taking time to remember all the lost & all the heroes. #GodBlessAmerica," Kim Kardashian posted "My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families affected by the awful tragedy of 9/11," and Ellen DeGeneres wrote "Ten years ago today, the world changed. I hope everyone finds time to remember those we lost… and to tell someone that you love them."
