Sega schedules four-day webcast for Tokyo Game Show titles

Sega's online broadcast coverage of their Tokyo Game Show presentations includes nearly every new title set to grace their main stage events: the next games in the Yakuza series for PSP and PlayStation 3, the ambitious and kinetic Vanquish for Xbox 360 and PS3, a new Shiren the Wanderer, and an unannounced game that is almost certain to be Valkyria Chronicles 3 on the PSP.

In order to gain as much exposure as possible, most titles will be given time on stage twice. Demonstrating the Yakuza series' importance to both publisher and public, especially given recent international interest and availability, 2011's zombie-infested Yakuza: Of The End clambers in front of the cameras thrice over.

A session relating to teen popstar game Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA 2nd is one of four segments excluded from the webcasts, but will instead appear for ten minutes at a time starting at 10:30, 13:55, and 15:25 Japanese time on the Saturday, and 11:05 and 13:30 on the Sunday.

The times given in the schedule are Japanese Standard Time. Pacific Daylight Time is 16 hours behind, Eastern Daylight Time 13 hours, the UK 8 hours behind, and Central Europe 7 hours. Essentially, west coast Americans will find that most events are within normal waking hours, while viewers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East are better placed to watch afternoon presentations.
