'Super Meat Boy' gets Ultra Rare Edition
Thursday 21 July 2011
How would you like your European retail version of
Super Meat Boy, sir: Ultra, or Ultra Rare?
Come UK release day on August 26, the PC Ultra Edition - already available elsewhere or in download form - will be bundled with a comic book, poster, and digital soundtrack along with 350 levels to beat, 16 unlockable characters, and a level editing suite for £20.
Bumping the price up to £25 grants clammy-handed fans access to the fully wearable Super Meat Boy T-shirt as well.
The Ultra and Ultra Rare editions are to follow in other European countries that don't already have it (Germany, for example, has a prior distribution deal in place).
The well received Super Meat Boy made its debut via the Xbox 360's Live Arcade channel in October 2010, with a PC download launching a month later.
Along with Braid and Fez, it takes center stage in the documentary film Indie Game: The Movie, due towards the end of the year.
