Trailer: third installment of Nolan's Batman franchise hits Facebook
Tuesday 19 July 2011
A trailer of the third and final installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman series,
The Dark Knight Rises, was released on Facebook by Warner Bros. on July 18.
The one-minute 35-second trailer is the first from the upcoming film, which is due to be released on July 20, 2012. The trailer is currently the only item on the newly created Dark Knight Rises Facebook page and has, to date, been 'liked' over 12,000 times. The video was also later made available on Warner Bros.'s own Facebook page.
The Dark Knight Rises, starring Christian Bale, is the third in Christopher Nolan's series of Batman films, preceded by Batman Begins in 2005 and The Dark Knight in 2008.
Warner Bros. made the previous Batman film, The Dark Knight, available to watch on Facebook for users within the United States for around 30-40 Facebook credits, or $3-$4.
