Twitter index: 6.8-magnitude earthquake in East Timor, Matthew Fox allegedly assaults a woman

A 6.8-magnitude earthquake has been felt in the Banda Sea off the coast of Indonesia and East Timor, report microbloggers.

The “deep” quake struck at 13:57pm (6:57am GMT) but “[t]here are no immediate reports of damage and no tsunami warning has been issued,” said the AP.

Celebrity gossip and entertainment new site TMZ is reporting, and Twitter users are retweeting, that Lost star Matthew Fox has been detained after being accused of assaulting a woman.

The four hashtags at the top of Twitter’s most talked about topics list on the morning of August 30 are “#WarriorMovieSneakPreview,” “#WaysToGetOffThePhone,” “#20peopleidmarry” and “#ThingsBetterThanTheCarterIV.”

Tweeps are praising Demi Lovato’s good looks with fifth place term “DEMI LOVATO IS STUNNING” and wishing their followers happy holidays with the seventh place term “?yi Bayramlar,” Turkish for “happy holidays.”

Microbloggers are also talking about the premiere of MTV horror-comedy series “ Death Valley” and tweeting the names of the celebrities chosen to appear in reality TV series Dancing with the Stars.
