Twitter index: Google doodle celebrates Freddie Mercury's birthday, 'Bloody Mary' to be Lady Gaga’s next single?
Monday 05 September 2011
Google has created an animated doodle featuring Queen’s mega-hit "Don't Stop Me Now" for what would have been Freddie Mercury’s 65th birthday.
"Our doodle celebrating Freddie's birthday can be seen around the world on September 5 and, out of respect for Labor Day, in the U.S. on September 6," said Google as Tweeps post about how they were touched by the Freddie Mercury-inspired animation.
"Don't stop me now is my fave song ever by QUEEN," "the 'Don't Stop Me Now' animation on Google today made me cry," and "So how many of us are singing 'Don't stop me now' this morning?! Brilliant," tweet Twitter users.
At the top of Twitter's most talked about topics are the hashtags "#MadeItWork," "#iReallyHateWhen," "#Youshouldbeashamedif" and "#StopBraggingAbout."
Twitterers are asking why American rapper Khleo is aways "doing bigger and better things," "telling us 2 smile?" and "retweeting everybody," as well as explaining why (or why not) "Team Bieber is Beast."
The film "Angels In The Outfield" is in sixth place and role-playing video game " Dragon Quest" is in ninth place.
"Bloody Mary," a song from Lady Gaga’s most recent album, Born This Way is trending on Twitter as microbloggers question if it will be the next single from the album or not.
