Twitter index: it’s Friday, let the weekend begin!
Friday 02 September 2011
It’s Friday and microbloggers are tweeting about what they are planning to do on the weekend.
“[I]t's friday and i'm really looking forward to the weekend,” say Twitterers using the eighth place term.
Tweeps in the US are wishing their friends Goodnight while their German counterparts are just waking up and saying “Guten Morgen.”
Twitter users are complaining that they are no longer getting “DM’s” (short for “direct messages”), getting too many or getting spam in their direct messages on Twitter.
At the top of Twitter’s most talked about topics list are the hashtags “#JackDanielsParty,” “#SomebodyToldYouWrong,” “#youcantdateme” and “#DoUrHomework.”
The movie “ State Property 2” and TV series “ Beyond Scared Straight” are trending in fifth and seventh positions on the chart.
