Twitter index: Justin Bieber wins MTV Movie Award, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner kiss

The 2011 MTV Movie Awards are a hotly discussed subject on Twitter on the morning of June 6.

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber unexpectedly appeared during the awards ceremony to pick up the Golden Popcorn award in the category of the Best Jaw Dropping Moment for his movie Never Say Never.

Fans were celebrating his win with second place topic "JUSTIN BIEBER WON."

Male Twilight actors "Taylor Lautner" and Robert Pattinson shared a passionate kiss at the MTV awards after Pattinson won the award for Best Kiss with female co-star Kristen Stewart.

The trailer for Twilight Saga: "Breaking Dawn" Part 1 was also premiered during the MTV awards ceremony.

"#thingsthatdontmakesense" and "#13thingsiwant" fill the first and third positions on Twitter's most talked about topics list.

Twitterers are pleading with other microbloggers to be kind to Selena Gomez, an American actress who is dating Justin Bieber.

"Poor selena is always getting hated on, dissed, made fun of. leave the poor girl alone, she did nothing wrong,' tweets a microblogger, while another adds, "Poor Selena? Why Poor Selena? She's dating the hottest 17 year old in the world, there's nothing wrong with that. I wish I could be her."

In the spirit of its annual Australia Day Hottest 100 music poll (where Australians vote for their favorite songs of the year), Australian national radio station Triple J is launching a search for the Hottest 100 Australian Albums of All Time.

Microbloggers are voting for their 10 favorite Australian albums with fourth place hashtag "#hottest100."

The name of American actress and MTV Movie Award winner "Emma Stone" is in sixth place, the name of Australian professional rugby league player "Josh Dugan" is in seventh place, and the name of Australian federal politician "Bob Katter" is tenth place.
