Twitter index: microbloggers look forward to the weekend

Twitter users can’t wait for the weekend. They are tweeting about all the things they have planned for their two days off.

This weekend: "I will be practicing doing cartwheels cuz the circus will be having auditions soon," "i might discover what sleep is....maybe," "I'm doing nothing except reading The Twilight Saga," and "im gonna be drunk as usual," report Twitterers using the second place hashtag "thisweekend."

"#Super8Movie" remains at the top of Twitter's most talked about topics. "#letsmakelove" moves up one spot to number three and the American animated series " Family Guy" is unchanged in eighth place.

Twitterers are posting micro reviews of "Marvin's Room," the newest single from Canadian rapper Drake, in fourth place among trending topics.

British-Irish pop group The Wanted have also given fans a preview of "Glad You Came," the first single from their new album. Fans are eagerly awaiting the "#gladyoucamevideo," which is due out on June 10.

Twitterers are voicing their anger at American comedian "Tracy Morgan" and his "homophobic tirade" at a stand-up comedy show.

"Maths" is in seventh place, MySpace-like social network "#friendproject" is in ninth place and "#gooddick" follows in tenth place.

The top 10 most talked about topics on Twitter on June 10 at 7:30 AM GMT are:
