Twitter index: the Twitter rumor mill runs on high
Thursday 23 June 2011
Twitterers are fueling and debunking rumors on the morning of June 23.
According to some microbloggers, BET's 106 & Park host and radio personality "Rocsi" was caught stealing from teen clothing store "Wet Seal."
Others think the rumor is dubious and are tweeting, "Why would she steal from Wet Seal? It makes no sense. Like they have those shirts that say 'i'm hotter than your girlfriend.'"
Twitter's rumor mill is also on fire with the news that Los Angeles Lakers basketball player "Lamar Odom" may soon be traded for the Sixers' Andre Iguodala.
"If Odom wound up in Minnesota, that would sure change the tone of the hit TV show [K]hloe & Lamar," comment Twitterers, adding that "if Lamar Odom goes from the Lakers to the Sixers, his career is over."
"#ClaussenPickles" is promoted at the top of Twitter's list of most talked about topics and is followed by the hashtags "#no1likesubecause," "#1thingicantstand" and "#slightlyaddicted."
The name of American rapper "Lil Zane" appears in fifth place on the chart.
Animated American TV show " Phineas & Ferb" moves up three places to number six and Korean drama " Naughty Kiss" jumps up one spot to number seven.
