Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding is a hot topic of discussion on Twitter on the morning of April 28.
Chatter ranges from speculation about Kate's dress to the parties Twitterers are throwing in honor of the event to complaints about "#RoyalWedding" and "William & Kate" filling Twitter's top trends.
"For an American to understand why the marriage of William and Kate is important in England, imagine Charlie Sheen marrying Lindsay Lohan," says a British Twitter user trying to explain the excitement.
The morning's top hashtags include "#onlywhitepeople," "#whatsthepoint" and "#pleaseshutupif."
Noted American Christian evangelist "David Wilkerson" died in a car crash on April 27. His name is trending in fifth place. "Only God" is also in Twitter's most talked about trends in seventh place.
"Girl Band" has risen to sixth place as Twitterers tweet about their favorite all-female bands.
American thriller "
Sugar Hill" is in ninth place and "Scorpio III," the astrological sign of people born in the period between November 12 to 18, is trending in tenth place.
