TabCo is promoting the number one term on Twitter on July 6 in an attempt to create a following for its "really cool" new gadget(s).
The viral marketing campaign has been ongoing since June and has included marketing tactics such as skywriting at Apple's WWDC, illusive YouTube videos and Facebook posts. According to the brand's website, more will be revealed "this summer."
Twitterers don't seem too impressed with the campaign, however, and are tweeting "Wondering if promoted tweet #MissingTablet by @WeAreTabCo is really worth it. Some of links on website don't work at all.. #fail?" and "#MissingTablet? Nope. I'm actually on my iPad right now.."
