Yahoo! CEO Carol Bartz has been removed from her role as Chief Executive Officer of Yahoo! by the Board for an undisclosed reason.
According to a Mashable post that is being retweeted around the Twittersphere, Bartz sent a memo from her iPad to all Yahoo! staff members stating that "I am very sad to tell you that I've just been fired over the phone by Yahoo's Chairman of the Board. It has been my pleasure to work with all of you and I wish you only the best going forward."
English musician PJ Harvey is also a popular subject of chatter on Twitter Wednesday morning as Tweeps congratulate the singer on winning her second Mercury Music Award.
