Watch 'Call of Duty XP' live and online
Thursday 01 September 2011
An official Facebook app will embed a stream of live footage from Call of Duty XP's two day event that takes place in Los Angeles, California, on September 2 and 3.
The event runs from 10am to 10pm Pacific Time on both days, and attendees will play Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer modes two months prior to the game's official release.
For international viewers, that's 1pm-1am Eastern, 7pm-7am BST, 1am-1pm in Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, 2am-2pm in Japan, and 3am-3pm in Sydney, Australia.
As part of the lead up to Modern Warfare 3's November release, 32 teams will compete against each other for $1 million in cash and prizes.
There'll be a batch of multiplayer challenges based on previous games in the Call of Duty franchise, two thrill riders (one zipline, one in a Jeep), and an armory showcasing the series's weapons - including some of the more far fetched sci-fi creations.
