During the week of March 22 CITA will celebrate its 25th anniversary in Las Vegas, USA. Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to attend the event that covers the wireless and converged communications industries, wireless broadband, and mobile web computing. In Orlando, Florida people attending the Electronic House Expo will discover products and services related to health tech, smart energy, electronic security, digital media, and custom electronics.

CTIA will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2010, welcoming more than 1,000 exhibitors and tens of thousands of spectators to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Discussions about wireless and converged communications, wireless broadband, mobile web computing and data industries will be held over a period of three days. Companies will demo the latest in enterprise solutions, energy-saving products, and emerging mobile entertainment technology. Developers, manufacturers and industry leaders will be on hand to discuss the latest trends including Location Based Services (LBS), Smart Energy, Wireless Health, Intelligent Transportation, Cloud Computing and Mobile Money.

The theme for this year's EHX (Electronic House Expo) is "New Opportunities". The expo caters for people interested in home health tech, smart energy, electronic security, digital media and custom electronics. It features booths from more than 125 exhibitors and offers hands on "super sessions" for those wanting to learn more about the electronics industry. EHX will also be running some of CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) University's most demanded courses during the event so attendees can brush up on their skills. Additional highlights include the ‘Demo Alley', manufacturer training sessions, dealer-to-dealer panels and four new expo floor pavilions.

The Where 2.0 conference will explore location-based Web 2.0 innovations and the rapid development of new geolocation software, applications and ecosystems in the expanding location-based media market. Apple iPad goes on sale

Apple announced that WiFi models of its latest invention - a touchscreen slate device called the iPad - will begin shipping in the US on April 3. 3G models will start shipping at the end of April. WiFi and 3G versions of the device are also expected to become available in Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain and Switzerland in late April, with iPads going on sale in additional countries later during the year. Prices range from $499 for the 16GB WiFi model up to $829 for the WiFi & 3G 64GB model. International pricing will be announced in April.
China Mobile Internet Summit
Representatives from China Mobile, China Unicom, France Telecom-Orange, British Telecom, Vodafone China, MySpace China, Baidu, Deutsche Telekom, AT&T, Telefonica International, Google China, Sony Picture Television International, and Research In Motion will be speaking at this year's China Mobile Internet Summit in Beijing. The event brings together high-level executives from the telecommunications, high-tech and internet sectors to discuss the world's future mobile internet market.

The 30th edition of Computex Taipei, is organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Taiwan Computer Association. It is now the largest computer exhibition in Asia, second in the world only to CeBIT in Germany. Many large computing firms have research and development centers or production factories in Taiwan and they come to Computex Taipei to launch their new products. Almost 120,000 visitors attended Computex Taipei in 2009 to see products and services from over 1,700 exhibitors.
