Weekly high-tech product releases: inexpensive 3G phone, Japanese-inspired gadgets, netbook-hybrid tablet

High-tech product releases announced the week ending November 24 include the Dell Inspiron Duo, a Japanese-influenced limited edition Lomo camera, a luxury handset inspired by Japanese traditional craftsmanship, Nokia's cheapest 3G phone and a QWERTY feature phone for those who love to stay in touch.

A unique netbook-hybrid tablet
The Dell Inspiron Duo is a tablet and netbook all in one letting consumers flip the screen into a tablet form for touchscreen input and movie viewing or back to the more-traditional full keyboard netbook setup for productivity. The device comes with a 10.1 inch HD multitouch display, Windows 7 Home Premium, a dual-core processor, a 1.3MP webcam, and two USB ports. Priced from $549 the Inspiron duo will start shipping in the UK and USA on December 2.

A limited edition artistic camera influenced by traditional Japanese stone garden design
The Lomographic Society's Lomo LC-A+ White camera comes dressed in a white kimono of mint metal and embossed "Karesansui" inspired leather. Limited to just 1000 pieces, the white edition of this iconic camera also comes with its own white L-Case, customized wooden box and a Russian Minitar 1 f/2.8 32mm lens. The camera is priced at €379, $399 and is available now.

Japanese traditional craftsmanship in a luxury handset
The Mokume Gane (a Japanese phrase that roughly translates to "wood grain metal") Classic 712 phone from Mobiado evokes traditional Japanese design aesthetics while offering consumers luxury phone crafted from materials such as sapphire crystal, 18 and 24 Karat gold and silver. The quad-band phone has a 2.2 inch display, 5 megapixel camera with flash, GPS, web browser and email features. No price or release date is available.

Nokia's most inexpensive new 3G phone
Priced at around €70, the C2-01 will be Nokia's cheapest 3G-capable handset. The C2-01 feature phone comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera, a two-inch screen, a music player, FM radio, Bluetooth, threaded messaging, and access to the Ovi Store. C2-01 will start shipping in the first quarter of 2011.

A social network-loving phone for those on a budget
Nokia's newly unveiled X2-01 is targeted at cost-conscious consumers. Selling for around €80, the X2-01 is built for heavy social networkers and music lovers. The X2-01 ships with a full QWERTY keyboard, a 2.4 inch QVGA screen, EDGE data (but no WiFi), integrated Facebook status updates, FM radio, and access to the Ovi Store. The X2-01 will be available later this quarter.
