Weekly tech agenda: BIRTV, Integrate

During the week of August 23 the international film, TV and radio industry will gather in China for BIRTV. In Australia audio visual enthusiasts will be attending the nation's biggest and only national AV expo, Integrate for two days of intensive seminars, workshops, and demonstrations.
China International Exhibition Center
BIRTV is a major event for the Chinese and International TV, film and radio industry. Leading companies from the industry will show off their latest equipment and technologies to the more than 55000 expected attendees. Highlights include the BIRTV Summit, Awards, and Digital Theatre. The event will also encompass the New Digital Medias Summit and Showcase, iHollywood China, conferences and technical seminars.
Horden Pavilion and Royal Hall of Industries, More Park
The Integrate Expo is the biggest and only national expo in Australia for audiovisual enthusiasts. Products from across the AV industry are shown under one roof. Visitors can view the latest technologies and demonstrations from companies producing equipment for the Entertainment, DJ, Recording, Concert Production and Lighting industries. Seminars and workshops are held concurrently during the event.
Ars Electronica Festival
The Ars Electronica Festival is an annual event that harnesses innovative collisions between state-of-the-art technology, provocative art, and intellectual thinking. Since 1979 the festival has invited artists, scientists and technologists to enrich the minds of people around them through festival activities such as exhibitions, performances, discussions and lectures. "REPAIR: ready to pull the lifeline" is the festival theme in 2010.

Berlin Exhibition Grounds
International Funkaustellung (IFA) is an annual trade show that presents developing technologies in modern household appliances, the digital media industry and consumer electronics. In 2010 the trade show will celebrate its 50th anniversary. Highlights in 2010 include two newly announced exhibition sections; the iZone section for Mac, iTech products and apps, and the eLibrary section for e-books and tablet PCs.
IBC electronic media conference and exhibition

Each year more than 1,300 leading electronics companies from across the globe exhibit at IBC - a leading international forum for the electronic media industry. The event combines a four-day conference dedicated to the electronic media industry with exhibitions and technical demonstrations from leading art, media and technology innovators. In 2010 the event organizers expect to draw in excess of 45,000 visitors.
DEMO Fall 2010
Silicon Valley, CA
DEMO is a three day conference where established and emerging technology companies provide concise demonstrations of their new products. The conference follows a strict format - participants have just six minutes to show off their inventions. In addition to the conference there is also a Demonstrator Pavilion where attendees can get a closer look at "the latest trend-setting technologies," plus various networking events.
