Google home trends: interior design, consumer electronics and book tokens

Design company Martella, appliance store HH Gregg and searches for book coupons were amongst some of the top terms in this week's Google home trends.


 

European design company Martela topped this week's Google home trends. The Finnish furniture company has branches throughout Europe and invests heavily in environmentally responsible schemes.  The company is known for its innovative and stylish designs such as the 'U Turn' range of streamlined ultra modern seating which it released in 2008.

Discount coupons for international book retailer 'Borders' were also popular searches with the terms 'Borders coupon /coupons' appearing twice in this week's Google home trends, the coupons are valid with Borders membership and can be printed directly from the site, more information is available at http://www.bordersmedia.com/coup/40item2010nov11.html .

American appliance store 'Hhgregg' re-appears in the Google home trends at number ten, the store offers weekly deals on consumer electronics, household appliances and domestic accessories.

Other popular search terms this week included 'Novena de Aguinaldos' a Spanish term referring to a Christmas prayer said over nine consecutive days from December 16 to 24 in order to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ; 'grim sleeper' referring to the nickname of the alleged serial killer currently being investigated in Los Angeles and  interior design company 'Garbarino'.

The search terms with the most significant growth worldwide in the last seven days as measured by Google Insights under the category Home & Garden, recorded on December 24 at 9:30 AM GMT are:
