'Boobquake' to help real quake recovery

In case you didn't know, April 26 was declared Boobquake day by blogger Jen McCreight of Blag Hag. Women everywhere were asked to join the experiment by wearing their best cleavage-enhancing apparel to test an Iranian cleric's assessment of quake causes.

On April 21, the media enjoyed reporting on Hojatoleslam Kazim Sadeghi, an Islamic cleric, who said during a prayer in Tehran, Iran that was posted on YouTube, "women and girls who don't dress appropriately increase promiscuity in society, when promiscuity spreads, earthquakes increase."

McCreight defines herself as "a liberal, geeky, nerdy, scientific, perverted atheist feminist trapped in Indiana."

If you didn't get a chance to wear your favorite asset-enhancing top today, consider purchasing a Boobquake 2010 t-shirt, 100% of the profits will go to the Red Cross and James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF), a not-for-profit organization that "promotes critical thinking by reaching out to the public and media with reliable information about paranormal and supernatural ideas," to be divided 50/50.
