Compare nutritional info of grocery store items with new app

It's an app designed for calorie counters and nutritional label readers who spend 10 minutes hemming and hawing in the cereal aisle, trying to decide between Cheerios and Shredded Wheat. The new app Food Fight!!, announced last week, allows users in the US to compare different products and brands against one another.
After searching for the brand, product or Universal Product Code, the app will instantly compare the items across five different factors - calories, fat, protein, carbohydrates and cholesterol - before declaring the healthier choice or 'winner' of the digital throwdown.
Users can also compare products based on a single serving size or an equivalent 100 g measurement. Other features include the ability to share results on Facebook.
The database includes nutrition facts from more than 100,000 products like Oreos, Lay's, Coke, Pepsi, Breyers and Chips Ahoy from 15,000 brands and 5,000 different manufacturers.
Another app, Nutrition Facts, likewise allows users to search for nutritional information on food items from popular brands like Coca-Cola, ConAgra, General Mills and Hershey Foods. It also expands into fast food restaurants like Burger King, KFC, McDonald's and Pizza Hut.
Food Fight!! costs $0.99 and is available at http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/food-fight!!/id460892593?mt=8 .
