The parents of the nation’s biggest family have spoken of their “surprise” that they will soon have their 19th child after vowing to stop.

Husband and wife Sue and Noel Radford, from Morcambe, Lancashire, said that they were “adamant” they would not have more children but described the news as a “brilliant start to the New Year.”

Mrs Radford, now 40, had the couple’s first child when she was 14-years-old, The Sun reported. She and Mr Radford, a 45-year-old baker, have spoken of how they bonded as parents because they were both given up for adoption at birth.

Oweing to the size of the family, their shopping bills soon adds up as they use 126 pints of milk, 21 loaves of bread, 14 boxes of cereal and 28 toilet rolls each week.

In order to accommdate all the children, the family live in a 10 bedroom house, and travel in a 15-seater minibus.

The couple appeared on This Morning in June 2015 to talk about the logistics of being part of such a large brood.

Asked time whether she and her husband would have more children, she responded: “We've not thought that far ahead yet, we're just enjoying Hallie so we're not thinking of having any more, but who knows what the future will hold.”

Mrs Radford added that while the kids “do have their fights” they all get on well despite the size of the family.

“They do pretty much - they do have their fights, don't get me wrong, but they do get on very well together.”
