Getting a pet seems like a wonderful idea until the fuzzy creature has torn up your carpet and peed on your washing pile.

But just like any other family member, we forgive the ills of the sometimes-irritating creatures we share our homes with because of the joys they offer with their distinct personalities and ability to comfort with the wag of a tail.
