FIBO 2010, the world's largest event devoted to health, fitness and well-being, opens on April 22 in Essen, Germany and this year's program boasts a packed program with the FIBOactive stage highlighting the latest fitness trends from parkour to tricking.

FIBO celebrates its 25th anniversary as the key health, fitness and wellness trade event of the year.

Over 50,000 health industry professionals and health enthusiasts individuals from 60 countries including health specialists (physiotherapists, orthopedists, cardiologists, internists) for the FIBOmed section.

This expo brings together the latest in training equipment, intelligent health promotion concepts, nutrition, fashion, cutting-edge sessions and events aligned with a variety of fitness and health trends including pole fitness, Zumba, cycling, powerlifting plus a wellness marketplace with innovative new products.

FIBO is in a class of its own with the combination of trade and public events and halls and definitely rivals the large international trade fitness events like IHRSA International Convention & Trade Show that took place in March in San Diego.

Returning to the stage this year are new events with ZUMBA, Style Tactics 2010 and WUSHU:

ZUMBA Cardio Party created by Beto Perez and his team will showcase new variations of the international dance-fitness workout that combines Latin and international dance music with merengue and samba moves.

Patrick Grigo , the Breakdance and Hip-Hop World Champion, takes the stage with the Move Too Hot Company Team introducing Style Tactics 2010, defined as breathtaking breakdancing and hip-hop moves.

Xu Huihui, the triple Wushu and Kungfu World Champion, and David Török, multiple German Champion, joined by the German Wushu team together are showcasing their choreographed martial elements with acrobatics routine WUSHU.

For the first time on the FIBO stage new fitness trends are used to create amazing shows centered around the TOGU Jumpers, Tricking and XMA, Jump Rope Style, Parkour and much more:

The Realpulse team with their Tricking and XMA (Extreme Martial Arts) program, a mixed sport of acrobatics, gymnastics and martial arts.

Pole fitness, the latest fitness trend sweeping Europe that includes acrobatics, gymnastics and dance into an ambitious type of whole-body exercise on a pole.

TOGU Jumpers will be featured on stage this year. Similar to a BOSU balance trainer, the TOGU also has a trampoline quality to increase strength and endurance with a whole body workout. In addition to the show TOGU will have a booth. To have one of your own they are priced at $246.75 (€183.75).

Sebastian Deeg, a renowned jumper, is to present his program Jump Rope Style focusing on this trend sport that combines skips and jumps that flow with music beats.

On April 22, over 20 competitive athletes from DFAV (Deutscher Fitness- & Aerobic Verband) will perform DFAV-Special Mix with fitness step, funk hip hop and sports aerobics.

Realpulse GmbH, fitness trendsetters and athletes, are to highlight parkour and freerunning, two trends in obstacle sport running. FIBO participants will get an opportunity to run the parkour set up in Hall 6.

Also there will be Men's Health Fitness Check in Hall 8 and the OM Sports Model Contest.
