Fatigue syndrome

Chronic fatigue syndrome, or CFS (also known as ME, myalgic encephalomyelitis), may sometimes be caused by a defect in the regulation of blood pressure, say researchers from John Hopkins University, Baltimore. They investigated seven teenagers with chronic fatigue and found that in standard tests to assess changes in blood pressure, all experienced lightheadedness. The drugs used to treat low blood pressure may also alleviate symptoms in CFS, the researchers state in the Lancet.
