HIDING cannabis in the ears seems to be catching on, according to doctors in Nottingham. They describe in the Journal of Laryngology and Otology the cases of two young men who had concealed the drug in their ears in an attempt to escape police detection.

The first went to hospital complaining of ear wax; once it was removed with a hook, the smell of the drug gave the youth away. The second young man had to undergo a week's course of olive oil eardrops before surgeons were able to remove his 'stash'.
