SUNCREAMS often trigger allergic skin reactions, state Australian researchers in the British Journal of Dermatology. A study involving more than 600 people showed that 16 per cent developed dermatitis after applying suncream, whether or not it contained the active sunscreen ingredient. Several people reacted to the fragrances and preservatives.
