A NEW charity to support alternative cancer research has been set up by the Natural Medicines Society. The Madeleine Newton Fund is named after a young women who died from breast cancer at the age of 32 and who used alternative therapies as well as more conventional treatment. One of the research projects it is helping to fund is being carried out at the Royal London Homoeopathic Hospital. The study is looking into ways in which homoeopathic medicines appear to stimulate body defences against the growth of cancer cells. For more details write to the Natural Medicines Society, Edith Lewis House, Ilkeston, Derby DE7 8EJ.
