A WEEKLY reflexology massage may help to reduce premenstrual stress, according to research published in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The study, from Burbank, California, found that 83 per cent of women who had reflexology therapy reported that premenstrual symptoms were reduced by as much as 30 per cent, compared with 24 per cent of a group given a placebo massage.

Reflexologists believe that different parts of the body can be treated by massaging specific sites on the feet, ears and hands.
