Long-term patients 'get pets on NHS'

Lewisham Primary Care Trust in London, which is piloting the scheme, inisisted it may save money by promoting better health. A trust spokesman told the BBC: "Evidence suggests that caring for a pet can help patients get better, but there are many other options."
