New shoe tones legs, thighs, and buns
Reebok have come up with a new series of ladies' shoes that target and tone the calves, hamstrings, and glutes. With celebrity endorsements from actress Regina King, ex-Spice Girl Mel B, socialite Kim Kardashian, and DJ Samantha Ronson, the shoe looks set to catch the attention of women wanting a secret, walkabout workout from a well-known brand name.
The shoes work by pinpointing specific areas on each foot that make the wearer's leg muscles work that little bit harder with each step taken.
Available as cross-trainers and sandals for between $60 and $110 (€60-€100) per pair, they are set to join the ranks of mass-market footwear products that claim to improve posture and muscle use as a result of normal daily use.
Skechers, MBT, Vivo Barefoot and Vibram Fivefingers are among other manufacturers who have designed shoes whose soles also convey immediate health benefits to the user.
