A new application, iTriage, has been updated to help families, athletes and Olympic goers during the Winter Olympics 2010 in Vancouver, Canada by organizing all the important health information necessary for the area. The application is free and downloadable on various smartphone platforms.
Peter Hudson, M.D. CEO, Healthagen, the creator of iTriage, explains the update, "iTriage wanted to support the athletes and their families, and spectators during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Now that we've added all the healthcare providers around the Olympic venues in British Columbia, athlete families and friends can quickly navigate the Canadian healthcare landscape."
iTriage may help lessen the burden on the 811-helpline services at the various venues by helping fans, friends and family locate non-emergency services and even self-diagnose various symptoms.
The application is currently packed with healthful information on how to avoid unnecessary emergency room (ER) waiting time (offers real time info via RSS feeds), directions to the closest medical facilities and managing the healthcare systems in both the United States and Canada – plus immediate 911 connection if necessary.
In addition, iTriage is accessible on your smartphone from anywhere in the world and can provide expert medical knowledge on a variety of health conditions and analysis of symptoms. Application is downloadable on iTunes and at Healthagen.com.
