vital signs: Arthritis clue
Arthritis clue
Most women with rheumatoid arthritis find their symptoms disappear when they are pregnant, only to reappear when the baby is born. Doctors from the University of Manchester have begun a study to find out why, in the hope that this will lead to new approaches in treatment.
Anyone with rheumatoid arthritis who is also pregnant and wishes to take part should contact Maggie Fiddler, research nurse, on 0161-275 5046.
