This week continues the theme of public health with a series of global health campaigns to be launched during the G8 and G20 Summits in Canada and there is still time to join iVillage's new community challenge 'Get Healthy Now.'

Global health activists and organizations will launch a series of campaigns and events surrounding both the G8 and G20 Summits this June in Canada including the launch of Save the Children's EVERY ONE campaign to mobilize millions of people globally to demand government action in achieving the Millennium Development Goals by 2015. Live 8, a global network of ten AIDS awareness concerts, will not be taking place but there are whispers of a smaller event proposed by a Facebook group "G8 Make Promises Happen."

UNICEF and the business culture blog PSFK have joined forces to ask the public to help them monitor "key trends that impact health and wellbeing" to find new innovations and partners that can translate into deliverable health solutions for children worldwide. The target areas of innovation are health, education, fitness, remote working, data use and the web, and children's products and services. International Conference on Emerging Infectious Diseases 2010 (ICEID 2010)

XVIII International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2010)

"Right Here, Right Now " is the theme for this year's high-level meeting to hold world leaders and donors accountable as the 2010 deadline approaches for ensuring universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support. Also, greater attention will be on the rapid growth of the epidemic in Central and Eastern Europe via injection drugs as well as more focus on human rights and care for vulnerable populations. IDEA World Fitness Convention

The 26th annual IDEA World Fitness Convention is the largest and oldest trade event for fitness professionals. Over 5,000 influential fitness and wellness professionals from 65 nations will participate in 350 sessions devoted to new fitness trends (Bollywood Step, Alphabics, Kranking) with highlight events including celebrity Mario Lopez, tennis star Andre Agassi and the US Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, MD.
