Fitness game releases for the Xbox 360 Kinect
November 4/November 10
Xbox 360 is releasing new fitness games for its hands-free controller Kinect, which launches on November 4 in North America and November 10 in Europe. Some versions of the new games are also available for the Wii and Sony's Playstation 3 Move motion controls, which launched in October. But the Xbox 360 Kinect is the only system that, for now, is totally hands-free, giving it an edge on the competition for fitness applications. Kinect's version of Your Shape: Fitness Evolved provides a mixture of soft and hard workouts, from yoga to boxing. Other titles to look for include the dance fitness game Zumba Fitness (versions also available for Wii and PlayStation 3) and the TV tie-in The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout. Releasing November 16/18 is EA Sports Active 2, which comes with a heart rate monitor (also for Wii and PlayStation 3).
