The beverage company Juicy Drench is launching a brain hydration awareness campaign with their mental game vending machine, a world first, that dispenses free Juicy Drench flavored spring waters for ten days through September 5 in the UK.
To get the free water you have to master a number of mind games successfully like counting soccer balls, picking out the odd rubber duckie, popping balloons in order of size, matching pairs and kicking the soccer balls.
In Japan, a different kind of 'smart' vending machine was introduced on August 10. JR East Water Business, a drink supplier and subsidiary of Japan's public train company, launched the world's first 'smart' vending machine Acure at Shinagawa station in Tokyo that spies on you to appropriately "quench your thirst."
The Acure also doesn't take hard currency. To pay for your 'smart' water experience you will have to use a cellphone-wallet or contactless Suica IC card (used for many rail fares in the Tokyo area).
To test your brain with the Drench Smart Vending Machine visit these upcoming stops: Manchester on September 2 at Arndale Center and Birmingham's Bull Ring on September 4 and 5.
